Manifest Control Systems

The EcoTrak software package was created as a way for municipalities, foodservice providers, and (specifically any Brown Grease) pumper-haulers to easily access waste-material manifests in order to facilitate regulatory compliance. It is a database where customer manifests are uploaded via document scanning, indexed with a limited number of keyed-in fields, and stored for random access of the manifest images by authorized users. It is password protected to ensure the integrity of the information.

EcoTrak was created using PHP (a widely used scripting language for Web development) and MySQL database. MySQL is an open source, Internet-centric database utilized by mainstream corporations with a significant web presence such as Microsoft, Sony, Associated Press, Yahoo, HP, and Motorola.

Regulatory authorities at any level can use it to quickly establish which foodservice establishments have been serviced and are in regulatory compliance, as it eliminates the number of hard copies of manifests needed on file—everything is located in one database.
